What happens in the skin.
Treatment depends on the type of spot and its depth. Epidermal spots (shallow) respond well to LaseMD. Dermal spots (deeper, often grey) require a longer protocol. Before any treatment, you need to identify exactly what you are dealing with: that is the purpose of the diagnosis.
A note on melasma: it is a hormonal dysregulation. Laser treatments improve it but do not "eliminate" it for good without managing the trigger (sun, hormones, inflammation). Any promise to the contrary is inaccurate.
Identify the type of spot before treating. The same machine can help or make things worse depending on the diagnosis.
